2023 Holy Week
It all began during Wednesday, where students were supposed to have half-day classes, but in the end, only students who were required to school had to go. Those students were officers of clubs that were part of the procession. I was full of happiness because I wanted to catch up on sleep and to be able to work on my thematic's outline. Despite not having the same religion as others, I treated their tradition with respect.
I didn't go out much since my family told me there was a lot of traffic considering people are going home or traveling because of the fact it is the Holy Week. My grandmother and her friend also went to this trade fair during Friday afternoon, where they were able to buy a couple things. I only went out during Saturday afternoon to join my grandmother as she went to their high school reunion, which was an early dinner. I felt like I was an intruder there, but they were kind and a bit curious as to why a teenager like me was with them. My grandmother explained I was her grand-daughter. They talked a lot about how rowdy they were, the good times, the bad ones, and had a good time teasing each other. They cracked jokes, showed pictures, and talked about high-school dramas. I attended our church service during Sunday morning through gmeet because the different members of the church isn't in one place and cannot physically attend our church. Afterwards, I continued to search for what I need in my thematic and did my chores.
It was like another day without school, except people are busy and there were a lot of events happening in the heart of Vigan. Since we were quite far from the center of Vigan, I can only learn what happened through people's stories about it. I also learned things during my grandmother's reunion since they had attended events before they attended the early dinner. If there weren't so many people, I'd love to see for myself the events and understand their religion better.

It is unexpectedly heartwarming to see people not affiliated with the religion nor the event give appreciation for it enough so that a blog entry is dedicated to it. A narrative simply put yet extremely captivating. Nice job
